Dr. Pailla M. Reddy
President and CEO
Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy is a successful pharmaceutical entrepreneur with over 35 years of experience in the industry. He began his career working in various positions for leading pharmaceutical companies in India and Nigeria.
Dr. Reddy founded Bactolac Pharmaceutical Inc. in 1995, out of a 5,000 sq. ft. facility in Westbury, NY, with a vision to grow the company into a full service turn-key dietary supplement manufacturer. Today, Bactolac Pharmaceutical operates out of more than 350,000 sq. ft. in Hauppauge, NY, and continues to grow under Dr. Reddy’s successful leadership.
Dr. Reddy is a graduate of Osmania University in India where he earned a BS degree in Chemistry, with a concentration in genetics and botany. He later earned his Masters and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Kanpur.
Joseph J. Romano, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Joseph Romano started with Bactolac as the Corporate Controller in 2018 and currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Bactolac, Mr. Romano worked at Marcum LLP from 2008-2018 supporting pharmaceutical, manufacturing and software technology clients through internal consulting and assurance practices.
Mr. Romano graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of New York. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Hanumantha Rao Davuluri
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Davuluri holds the title of Chief Operating Officer. He joined Bactolac’s formulation’s team in 2000 as a formulation chemist and then served as formulation Manager for 10 years prior to serving as the Director of Operations.
He also worked as a production supervisor at SOL pharmaceuticals in India for over 10 years.
Mr. Davuluri holds a bachelor Degree in Chemistry from Nagarjuna University, India, and a post Graduate diploma in personnel management, industrial relation from Andhra Pradesh Productivity Council, Hyderabad, India.
Saketh Reddy
Chief Commercial Officer
Mr. Saketh Reddy serves as the Chief Commercial Officer of Bactolac and its subsidiary, ScieGen Pharmaceuticals, overseeing corporate strategy and business development. He brings with him a multitude of knowledge about the industry, having worked across different departments in both Bactolac and ScieGen over the years.
As a member of Bactolac’s board of directors since 2018, Mr. Reddy has been involved in the operations and knows the ins and outs of the organization. Prior to joining Bactolac full time, he served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at ScieGen Pharmaceuticals, where he played a key role in growing ScieGen’s own label business.
Mr. Reddy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University.
Vanessa Jackson
Associate Vice President, Quality Assurance
As Bactolac’s Associate Vice President of Quality Assurance, Ms. Vanessa Jackson is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of internal policies and procedures that ensure the manufacture of quality products that meet customer specifications and federal regulations (21 CFR 111:Current Good Manufacturing Practice in Manufacturing, Packaging, Labeling, or Holding Operations for Dietary Supplements). She joined the Quality Control Department in 2000 as a quality control chemist and also served as QC Lab Manager, QC Manager, Senior QC/QA Manager, and Director of Quality Assurance, prior to being named Associate Vice President.
Ms. Jackson holds two degrees: a BS in forensic toxicology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she graduated magna cum laude, and a BA in psychology from Stony Brook University.
Dr. Venkat Reddy Guduru
Senior Director, Quality Control
Dr. Venkat Guduru is the Senior Director of Quality Control. He assists Bactolac Pharmaceutical Inc. in areas such as Quality Control, Analytical Research and Development, Formulation, and in the preparation of SOPs and other necessary documentation in order to maintain cGMP compliance.
Dr. Guduru holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry where he also taught at Western Michigan University. Dr. Guduru performed extensive research in Green Chemistry with a focus to better the environment through the remediation of radioactive materials. He has published articles in internationally recognized journals such as Heterocycles and Analytical Chemistry.
Pylla Chandrasheker Reddy
Associate Vice President, Production
Mr. Pylla Chandrasheker Reddy is the Associate Vice President of Production. Prior to this role, he served as the Director of Production since February 2000. Mr. Reddy plans and coordinates the production activities related to the processing of pharmaceuticals and veterinary products. He also plans and controls production schedules, and develops and implements operating methods and Quality Control procedures. Prior to joining Bactolac, Mr. Reddy worked as the production supervisor for veterinary products at Protech Pharmaceutical, Ltd, India.
Mr. Reddy holds a bachelor degree in veterinary science and master degree in veterinary science (1996) from Acharya N.G. Ranga Agriculture University, Hyderabad, India.
Mr. Gregory Pusey
Assistant Secretary
Gregory Pusey is assistant secretary and a director of Bactolac Pharmaceutical, Inc. and has been affiliated with Bactolac since 1999.
Mr. Pusey has been engaged in the development of a number of private and public companies over the past 30 years as a founder, consultant, director and an officer. He has previously been a director, chairman, officer of several publicly and privately held companies. He continues to be an active consultant to Venaxis, Inc. a publicly traded diagnostic company.
Mr. Pusey is the President and a director of Cambridge Holdings, Ltd. (CDGD) a small business development company.
Mr. Pusey graduated from Boston College with a BS degree in finance in 1974.
Jeffrey G. McGonegal
Assistant Secretary
Mr. McGonegal has served as Corporate Secretary of the Company since February 2000. Since 1997, Mr. McGonegal has served as Managing Director of McGonegal and Co., a company engaged in providing accounting and business consulting services. Mr. McGonegal served as a consultant to the Company in connection with the recent acquisitions. From 1974 to 1997, he was an accountant with BDO Seidman LLP. While at BDO Seidman LLP, Mr. McGonegal served as managing partner of the Denver, Colorado office. Mr. McGonegal is a member of the board of directors of The Rockies Venture Club, Inc. and Colorado Venture Centers, Inc. He received a B.A. degree in accounting from Florida State University.
